5 Hormonal Balancing Tips

1. Include healthy fats to your diet

All hormones come from cholesterol, if we do not have a good intake of fats and fat soluble vitamins such as A, D, E, K, we will not be able to have a good hormonal balance. 

A long time ago "low fat" products were created and the truth is that we need the opposite! Include lots of healthy fats in your diet such as avocado, almonds, coconut, olives, ghee, etc.

2. Good Digestion

You can be on the perfect, high-fat diet, but if you have poor digestion and suffer from bloating, acid reflux, and constipation; you may not be absorbing these nutrients which you need for proper hormonal function. So make sure you chew slowly, don't drink too many liquids at mealtime and eat consciously.

3. Manage Stress

Whether it’s emotional, physical or chemical stress we secrete this hormone called cortisol and hormones are like a dance soup! If one moves the other hormones move so stress could be the root cause of hormonal imbalance. Try to meditate, take a bath, lavender tea, respiration exercises, etc.

4. Be Careful With Xenoestrogens

These hormone disruptors come from plastics, pesticides, mold toxins, heavy metals and skin products such as hydrating body cream, shampoos, soaps, etc. Try to eat organic foods, and remember to put into your skin things you can eat! Almond body oil is a great way to hydrate your skin! Choose wisely.

5. Last but not least - Detoxification

Make sure your detoxification pathways are running well. If we don’t detoxify adequately we reabsorb all the toxins. This means it is important to have daily evacuation, good hydration, sweat from time to time, have great intake of B vitamins, glutathione to have good methylation, etc.
